Basically, Nashville Star is a talent search to find America’s next great music star. This season’s contenders include: Alyson, Ashlee, Charley, Coffey, Gabe, Justin, Laura & Sophie, Melissa, Pearl Heart, Shawn, Third Town, and Tommy.
There’s also a rumor going around that the first one eliminated will be Ashlee. This is a real important competition, as Nashville Star has launched the careers of some talented artists. These include Chris Young, Buddy Jewell, Erika Jo, current ACM triple nominee Miranda Lambert, Lance Miller and Angela and Zac Hacker.
The show will be hosted by Billy Ray Cyrus. Joining him will be acclaimed producer John Rich and singer-songwriter Jewel.
