Sasha Vujacic’s 20-point effort off the bench spark the Lakers to a win over the Boston Celtics in game 3 of the NBA Finals. Dubbed, “The Machine” for his repetitive shot-making abilities during practice, Sasha Vujacic nailed a key basket from behind the arc to keep the Celtics at bay. Because of the growing concerns over salmonella poisoning from the tomatoes. People all over the US are getting very sick from eating sandwiches with tomatoes that is loaded with the salmonella bacteria. They’re finally releasing the John Adams DVD set. There are a lot of folks who don’t get HBO, so this is a welcome treat for those who wanted to watch it, but missed the mini-series when it first aired. I was out shopping for kayak equipment when I saw a poster advertising a new game show called Wipeout that will premiere on ABC on 6/24. My first thought was some crazy water sport show like kayak fishing for dollars. I had the crazy part right. The concept of the game is simple, a bunch of contestants (24 of ‘em) will go through an obstacle course surrounded by (among other things) water and mud, that’s designed to provide a lot of falls, slips, spills and even face-plants. The title of the show is fitting. Based on the trailer of the show, the premise seems loosely based on an old Japanese game show. Read the rest of this entry »
